The Legislative Platform serves as the guiding policy document for the City of Simi Valley when determining whether to take a position on proposed legislation at the State and Federal levels that may impact the City and, if so, the nature of that position. The City Council reviewed and adopted the 2025–2027 Legislative Platform at its March 31, 2025, meeting. 

A Legislative Platform is an essential tool enabling staff to evaluate proposed legislation. It provides a structured framework for deciding whether to draft and submit letters of support or opposition to legislators. This approach allows staff to proactively manage the City’s legislative program and address issues within its jurisdiction that could significantly affect its interests.
