Maintenance Services Division - Landscape Maintenance
The Landscape Maintenance Section manages the following public services:
Street Tree Maintenance Service
Landscape Inspection Services
Street Right-of-Way/City Property, Weed, Debris Abatement Services
Right-of-Way Landscape Planning Review Services
Wood Chip Services Program
Landscape Maintenance District Services:
The LMD includes maintenance of extensive greenbelts, slopes, medians, and mini parks throughout the City, and encompasses the managing of irrigation systems, trees, and pest control within those areas.
Street Tree Services:
The City is proud to be a Tree City U.S.A. and Arbor-Day registered organization. The management of the City's urban forest is maintained by certified City Arborists and contractual crews. Services include routine maintenance, removals, replanting, pest control services, and emergency response.
Landscape Inspection Services:
The Public Works Department provides inspection for all City street right-of-way landscape installation and regular maintenance work. All work within the street right-of-way must meet Public Works Standards.
Street Right-of-Way/City Property Services:
The City's street right-of-way, paved medians, and improved City-Owned property is maintained by City crews. Contractual services are employed for weeds and debris maintenance.
Right-of-Way Landscape Planning Review Services:
All City right-of-way development plans are reviewed and approved by the Landscape Maintenance Section of Public Works. The landscape improvements are to be installed per City standards.
Wood Chip Services Program:
The City provides residents with wood chips produced from regular maintenance and removal of the City's street trees. The program allows for delivery of either eight cubic yards or fifteen cubic yards of wood chips to residents. The wood chips must be delivered onto the resident's property. Appointments must be made in advance.
