The Street Maintenance Section of the Maintenance Services Division provides for the maintenance of all City streets (over 300 miles), roads, shoulders, and storm drains. Activities include street and sidewalk repair, slurry seal, asphalt overlays, traffic maintenance, street striping (including crosswalks), street sweeping, traffic signs, and storm drain maintenance.
Graffiti Abatement

Street Sweeping
Street sweeping in the City is performed by a Contractor. Residential streets are swept once a month. Please help the street sweeper do a better job by not parking on the street on scheduled sweeping days. Download the Street Sweeping Schedule (PDF).

To report a maintenance problem, fill out a Maintenance Service Request form or call (805) 583-6400.
When you report issues, you help the City keep streets and landscaping safe, clean, and in good condition for everyone.
