The City of Simi Valley maintains a road network of approximately 337 miles of streets. Multiple pavement rehabilitation projects are undertaken on a yearly basis to maintain this essential part of the City's infrastructure.

PROJECTS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

SV 24-17 - FY 2023-24 Annual Major Streets Rehabilitation Program: Erringer Road (Alamo Street to Cochran Street)

Status: Under Construction (Pending Permit)

• This project includes concrete repair, full-width grinding, new asphalt pavement, and new traffic striping on Erringer Road from Alamo Street to Cochran Street. Access to businesses and residences along this segment will be maintained at all times.

SV 25-23 - FY 2024-25 Annual Minor Streets Rehabilitation Program, SB1

Status: Under Construction

• This project will be funded by the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, also known as Senate Bill 1 (SB-1).  This project for the 2024-25 fiscal year will include concrete repair, grinding, new asphalt pavement, and traffic striping.

SV 26-03 - FY 2025-26 Annual Minor Streets Rehabilitation Program, CDBG

Status: Under Construction

• The Annual Minor Streets Improvement Program - CDBG provides for the maintenance and rehabilitation of residential and collector streets in areas that are determined to be Low to Moderate Income by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Street rehabilitation projects in these areas are funded through HUD’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and supplemented by various City funds. This project for the 2025-26 fiscal year includes concrete repair, grinding, new asphalt pavement, and traffic striping.

PROJECTS IN DESIGN, BID PHASE, & PRE-CONSTRUCTION

SV 25-04 - Madera Road Bridge Rehabilitation, 0.3 Miles South of Highway 118, Federal Aid Project No. BHLS 5405 (077)

Status: Pre-Construction (Pending Permit)

• This project includes a polyester overlay and concrete repair on the Madera Road Bridge, 0.3 miles south of highway 118.

SV 26-04 - FY 2025-26 Annual Minor Streets Rehabilitation Program, SB1 - Phase I (Concrete)

Status: Award Phase

• This project will be funded by the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, also known as Senate Bill 1 (SB-1).  This project for the 2025-26 fiscal year will include concrete repairs.

SV 26-11 - FY 2025-26 Annual Minor Streets Rehabilitation Program: Madera Road (Cochran Street to Easy Street) 

Status: Bid Phase

• This project for the 2025-26 fiscal year includes concrete repair, full-width grinding, new asphalt pavement, and new traffic striping on Madera Road from Cochran Street to Easy Street.

SV 26-13 - Curb, Gutter, and Sidewalk Replacement Project

• This project for the 2025-26 fiscal year includes concrete repair at various locations throughout the city.

SV 26-14 -Sequoia Avenue Storm Drain Rehabilitation Project

Status: Design Phase

• This project for the 2025-26 fiscal year consists of slip lining a storm drain near the intersection of Sequoia Avenue and Los Angeles Avenue. 

SV 26-15 - FY 2025-26 Annual Minor Streets Rehabilitation Program, SB1 - Phase II

Status: Design Phase

• This project will be funded by the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, also known as Senate Bill 1 (SB-1).  This project for the 2024-25 fiscal year will include grinding, new asphalt pavement, and traffic striping.

• This project for the 2025-26 fiscal year includes concrete repair, full-width grinding, new asphalt pavement, and new traffic striping on Stearns Street from Barnard Street to Cochran Street.

SV 25-20 - FY 2025-26 Annual Major Streets Rehabilitation Program: Tapo Canyon Road (Township Avenue to Avenida Simi)

Status: Bid Phase

• This project for the 2025-26 fiscal year includes micro surfacing, concrete repair, new asphalt pavement repairs, and new traffic striping on Tapo Canyon Road from Township Avenue to Avenida Simi.

SV 26-21 - FY 2025-26 Annual Minor Streets Rehabilitation Program: Los Angeles Avenue (First Street to Erringer Road) 

Status: Design Phase

• This project for the 2025-26 fiscal year includes concrete repair, full-width grinding, new asphalt pavement, and new traffic striping on Stearns Street from Frist Street to Erringer Road.

SV 26-25 - FY 2025-26 Annual Minor Streets Rehabilitation Program: Alamo Street (Gage Avenue to Erringer Road)

SV 26-28 - FY 2025-26 Bus Stop Improvement Project

Status: Design Phase

• This project for the 2025-26 fiscal year includes concrete repair, bus shelter installation, concrete bench removal, and steel bench installation on various locations throughout the City.

SV 26-31 - FY 2025-26 Annual Minor Streets Rehabilitation Program: Sycamore Drive (Sharp Road to Avenida Simi and 118 Freeway to Cochran Street)
