Program for Public Information (PPI) Committee
The City is part of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). This program makes flood insurance available to residents. The City also takes part in the Community Rating System (CRS), which gives discounts on flood insurance for cities that actively participate in the program. The PPI Committee watches over the City's public education about floodplains and flood insurance.
The PPI Committee is made up of City staff members and nominated citizens representing their neighborhoods. City staff from Public Works, Emergency Services, and the City Manager's Office were assigned by the City Council to work with community member, including people from the insurance industry. Together they create and carry out the PPI plan.
Program for Public Information (PPI) Plan
The PPI Committee meets once a year to follow up and make updates to the PPI Plan, if needed. Every five years, the PPI Committee updates the PPI Plan for the City Council to adopt.
Upcoming Meetings
Future dates for meetings are undetermined at this time, but are anticipated to take place in Spring 2027.
