The Armed Forces Banner Program was started by the City of Simi Valley to honor and recognize military members from our community. Banners are displayed on street light poles throughout the City.
Requirements
To qualify for recognition, the person must be a current or former Simi Valley resident and meet one of these requirements:
- On active duty in any branch of the United States Armed Forces, including active Reserves or National Guard; or
- A fallen service member in any United States conflict; or
- Served in any branch of the United States Armed Forces from September 2001 until deactivation
Application
Applications are accepted year-round and installed twice a year.
