The Traffic Bureau of the Simi Valley Police Department consists of Motorcycle Officers, Traffic Accident Investigator specialists, a Traffic Sergeant, a Police Services Supervisor and a Commander. If you have a concern in regards to chronic speeding or failure to obey posted stop signs or signals, please contact the Traffic Bureau Sergeant by phone or email.

Parking Enforcement
FIRE Hydrant, FIRE Lane, DISABLED Parking Space, WRONG WAY or BLOCKING DRIVEWAY/SIDEWALK parking violations may be reported directly to SVPD Dispatch at the non-emergency business line (805) 583-6950. All other parking violations including abandoned vehicles on a public street or public parking lot and inoperable vehicles on private property in public view should be directed to the Traffic Bureau Complaint/Permit Line at (805) 583-6921 or emailed to SVPD Traffic - Parking or submit an Online Parking Complaint Form.
Temporary permits to allow for the short-term parking for Oversized Vehicles (recreational motorhomes and trailers) of bona fide guests or for the parking of the resident's vehicle due to a hardship situation otherwise prohibited pursuant to Section 4-9.402 of this chapter, may be determined and obtained, on a case by case basis, from the Simi Valley Police Department. Please see the Oversized Vehicle & Trailer Parking Restrictions guide for additional information. A request for a Temporary Parking Permit should be directed to the Traffic Bureau Complaint/Permit Line at (805) 583-6921 or emailed to SVPD Traffic-Parking or submit a Temporary Oversized Vehicle Parking Permit Online Request. Permit requests should be made with a minimum of two (2) business days in advance of the needed start date. There is no cost for a permit at this time.
