Citywide Design Guidelines
The Citywide Design Guidelines are intended to promote a desired level of future development quality in Simi Valley that will contribute to a positive physical image and identity of non-residential development. The Guidelines supplement the contents of the Simi Valley Development Code on matters of design and aesthetics.
Outdoor Dining Design Guidelines
The City’s Outdoor Dining Guidelines are intended to promote functional, attractive and safe outdoor dining areas for existing and new restaurants. The guidelines allow creativity in the design of these outdoor dining areas while maintaining a compatible theme with existing buildings. Refer to the Municipal Code for requirements for location, parking, setbacks and landscaping.
Residential Design Guidelines
The Residential Design Guidelines are intended to promote excellence in the design and development of new residential projects in the City of Simi Valley. This will contribute to a positive residential built environment and community identity through superior residential design.
Landscape Design Guidelines
The Landscape Design Guidelines shall be used when preparing preliminary landscape plans in association with all new residential, commercial, and industrial projects in the City. The guidelines establish minimum landscape design standards without dictating specific planting styles, planting themes, or planting arrangements.
