Mission Statement

The mission of the Simi Valley Council On Aging is to identify and serve the needs of Simi Valley seniors through the advocacy, development, support, funding and implementation of programs, events and services that provide seniors with maximum independence, safety, security, health and quality of life. (Adopted June 13, 2022)

Meetings 

Council On Aging (COA) meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 1:00 p.m. at the Senior Center. The COA will not hold meetings in July and August. Seniors are encouraged to attend and provide input.

The Council On Aging is currently seeking a Ventura County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council Representative

The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council’s job is to plan, support, and review programs that help adults age 60 and older, as well as people with disabilities and their caregivers, throughout Ventura County.

The Simi Valley Council On Aging is looking for a Simi Valley resident who is 60 or older to serve on this advisory council for a two‑year term starting July 1, 2026. The council meets six times a year in Camarillo, and members can also join smaller groups that focus on topics like transportation, housing, senior nutrition, and healthy aging.
