For City of Simi Valley / Waterworks District No. 8 Customers

Water service in Simi Valley is provided by two agencies:

  • City of Simi Valley / Waterworks District No. 8
  • Golden State Water Company

The City of Simi Valley is pleased to offer a free water consumption tracking service to City of Simi Valley / Waterworks District No. 8 customers. By monitoring usage and setting custom alerts, customers may be able to reduce water consumption and lower their water bills over time.

Customers Without a Smart Meter

Customers without a smart meter can:

  • View water consumption history by billing period
  • Access data updated at the end of each billing period

Customers With a Smart Meter

Customers with a smart meter can access near real-time data, including:

  • Water use displayed by year, month, day, or hour through charts and graphs
  • Estimated water costs based on consumption (does not include service charges or lift fees)
  • The date and time when usage was last updated

Customers can also:

  • Set daily and bimonthly water use thresholds to receive alerts when usage exceeds them (opt-in required)
  • Receive alerts when continuous or high usage over a 24-hour period may indicate abnormal usage or a possible leak (opt-in required)
  • Compare your current water use with your past use

Water use data from before November 1, 2025 is not available with this service.

Access Water Usage Data

To view your data, access the Utility Billing portal (opens in a new tab) and select Consumption when logged in. Create an account through the portal if one has not been set up.
