A free residential clean-up and recycling day is available to all Simi Valley residents. It will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center located at 2801 N. Madera Road. This free landfill day is a great resource for disposing of unwanted items and helps to prevent illegal dumping.
Simi Valley residents must provide proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or waste and recycling bill with a Simi Valley address. A household may dispose of up to two loads. A maximum of five non-commercial passenger-vehicle or pickup tires may be dropped off.
Participants are asked to separate recyclables from refuse to facilitate recycling. Loads must be covered during transport to prevent litter. No commercial waste, commercial vehicles, hazardous waste, electronics, liquids, household batteries, products containing mercury (such as thermometers and thermostats), or fluorescent light bulbs are allowed.
