The City of Simi Valley is set to begin a significant restroom renovation project at the Simi Valley Senior Center to enhance accessibility and comfort for seniors. Construction is scheduled to begin on February 3, 2025, with completion expected in the coming months.
“These improvements will make the Senior Center more accessible and comfortable for everyone who visits,” said Kimberly Post, Community Services Manager. “By upgrading the restrooms, we’re enhancing safety and ease of use for our senior community. We appreciate the community’s patience as these essential improvements are made.”
The renovations will include wider stalls, grab bars, improved lighting, and other features designed to make the restrooms safer and more user-friendly for all patrons. The project was approved by the City Council on November 18, 2024, as part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve public facilities and ensure they meet the needs of all residents.
While the Senior Center’s hours of operation will remain unchanged, patrons should anticipate some temporary disruptions near the construction area, including noise, dust, and the presence of work crews and equipment.
