Simi Valley Police Department Hosts First Community Forum

The Simi Valley Police Department hosted its first Community Forum on Wednesday, October 28 focused on the Department’s recruitment and hiring standards. For those who were unable to watch the Forum live, the video is now available for viewing below and is also on the City of Simi Valley YouTube channel.
The Simi Valley Police Department will begin hosting quarterly Police Community Forums beginning in January 2021. These meetings will allow the Police Department the opportunity to provide the community information on topics including recruitment, hiring, training, policies and procedures, legislative mandates, community policing and outreach programs, and Principled Policing. The ongoing forum series is aimed at listening to ideas and suggestions for police reform from community members, groups, and organizations.
