Local 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organizations Are Invited to Attend the Community Projects Grant Application Workshop

City of Simi Valley
The City of Simi Valley has approximately $150,000 in funding available for community projects and programs to be completed between July 2019 and June 2020. Local 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations serving Simi Valley are encouraged to apply for grant awards ranging from $10,000 to $150,000 to support new or ongoing programs and/or capital projects serving Simi Valley. Funding eligibility is limited to direct costs associated with the program or project.
A voluntary workshop will be held for applicants on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at 3:30 p.m. in the Simi Valley Public Library Community Room located at 2969 Tapo Canyon Road. The workshop will provide an overview of the application review process.
Organizations are requested to RSVP to ensure adequate space and materials are available for attendees by visiting www.simivalley.org/ProjectsGrant or by calling the Community Services Department at (805) 583-6864.
An online link to the grant application will be made available on the Community Projects Grant webpage from February 8, 2019 through February 27, 2019.
The grant is made available through an agreement between the City and Waste Management to fund community projects and programs that benefit Simi Valley. The Community Projects Grant Review Committee will review applications at one or more public meetings in May to develop funding recommendations for City Council.
