Youth, ages 15 to 25, seeking employment or internships are encouraged to attend the 32nd Annual Youth Employment Service (YES) Job and Career Expo on Saturday, March 16, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley. This free event is provided as a community and business service by the City of Simi Valley and sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley and the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise.

This one-day event will consist of an orientation, mock interviews, and a job expo featuring local, regional, and national employers. Attendees will be able to develop their interview skills, network with potential employers, and even apply for jobs directly on site. Also participating in the event will be representatives from vocational schools and non-profit organizations for those who wish to develop their skills and/or volunteer.

Young adults who attend the event should be dressed professionally, bring polished resumes, and be prepared to complete employment applications and possibly interview, as each year some employers interview and extend offers the day of the event. For more information, visit www.simivalley.org/yes.

Additionally, businesses seeking full-time, part-time, seasonal, or permanent employees; interns; and/or businesses willing to discuss career opportunities within their industries can still register for the YES Job and Career Expo at no charge by registering online at www.simivalley.org/JobExpo. With more than 400 qualified high school students, high school graduates, college students, and out-of-school youth expected to attend, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to recruit and hire local candidates, educate young adults on career options, and network with other businesses.

Businesses, vocational schools, non-profit organizations, and young adults who would like more information should contact Kristin Tignac, YES Coordinator, at (805) 583-6766.
