In recognition of the importance of public transportation services and the contributions Simi Valley Transit makes to the City’s residents, the City Council proclaimed May 13 through 19, 2018 as Public Transportation Week on May 14, 2018.

Simi Valley Transit, the City’s municipal transportation system, has been providing service to the City’s residents for 48 years and annually transports nearly a half million passengers on its fixed-route, Americans with Disabilities Act Paratransit, and Senior Dial-A-Ride services. Many residents, families, senior citizens, students, employees, and employers utilize public transportation services to access work, schools, medical services, and local businesses.  Simi Valley Transit promotes and preserves air quality standards and further contributes to a more sustainable community through its use of energy efficient Compressed Natural Gas vehicles.
