Youth Employment Service Advisory Board Member Application

Applications are currently being sought for: two local government representatives, one youth representative between the ages of 16 and 22, and three alternate community at large members.

The purposes of the Youth Employment Service (YES) Advisory Board include:

A. Acting as an advisory body to the City Council on matters related to youth employment.

B. Promoting the hiring of Simi Valley youth (including an annual Job and Career Expo).

C. Assisting the community in developing an understanding of the needs and expectations of youth regarding employment, and assisting in the development of programs that respond to these needs.

The application deadline has been extended to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2020.  Terms of office for these positions will begin on August 24, 2020 and conclude on June 30, 2022.
