Applications are currently being sought for: one at large member, one local business representative, one local government representatives, one Neighborhood Councils representative, one Simi Valley Unified School District Representative, one youth representative between the ages of 16 and 22 and three at large alternate member positions. 

The purposes of the Youth Employment Service (YES) Advisory Board include:

A. Acting as an advisory body to the City Council on matters related to youth employment.

B. Promoting the hiring of Simi Valley youth (including an annual Job and Career Expo).

C. Assisting the community in developing an understanding of the needs and expectations of youth regarding employment, and assisting in the development of programs that respond to these needs.

The application deadline is at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.  Terms of office for these positions will begin on July 1, 2022 and conclude on June 30, 2024.
