DESCRIPTION:<b><h3 style="text-align: center;">DO YOU LOVE SIMI VALLEY AND WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?</h3></b><p>The City of Simi Valley’s four Neighborhood Councils provide resident input into the development of the community and make recommendations to the City Council on quality of life issues.&nbsp; Each of the Neighborhood Councils has an Executive Board comprised of 13 residents and meets monthly in the evenings.&nbsp;</p><p>The City is currently <a href="http://www.simivalley.org/departments/environmental-services/planning-division/neighborhood-councils/neighborhood-council-executive-board-member-application#!/" target="_blank">accepting applications for Neighborhood Council Executive Board members</a>.&nbsp; Vacancies currently exist on each of the Neighborhood Council Executive Boards.&nbsp; Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and residents of the City of Simi Valley.&nbsp; Successful candidates will be appointed by the City Council to serve in an advisory capacity for two-year terms from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2026.</p><p>The deadline for <a href="http://www.simivalley.org/departments/environmental-services/planning-division/neighborhood-councils/neighborhood-council-executive-board-member-application#!/" target="_blank">submitting applications</a> is Friday, March 29, 2024.&nbsp; For more information about the Neighborhood Council program visit the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.simivalley.org/departments/environmental-services/neighborhood-councils" target="_blank">Neighborhood Council home page</a> or contact Kelly Duffy, Community Services Coordinator, at (805) 583‑6756.</p><p>Join your Neighborhood Council in making a difference in your community. </p>
