The Simi Valley City Council invites nominations of individuals to be recognized as the 2020 Community Volunteer of the Year for extraordinary service to the community. The City Council is proud of its thousands of community volunteers who give selflessly for the betterment of our community and would like to recognize one individual that represents this spirit of volunteerism as the 2020 Community Volunteer of the Year.
Eligible nominees for the 2020 Community Volunteer of the Year must be Simi Valley residents who have contributed volunteer service within the Simi Valley community over the past year. Nominations are being accepted from the community as well as non-profit and community organizations. Individuals are also invited to self-nominate.
All eligible nominations will be reviewed by a committee comprised of the 2019 Community Volunteer of the Year along with other volunteer community members. The committee’s recommendation will then be forwarded to the City Council for recognition.
Nominations are to be submitted online no later than Friday, May 1, 2020, to be considered.
