The role of the Program for Public Information (PPI) Committee is to provide oversight of the City's public information activities regarding floodplains and flood insurance. The City is part of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), which provides access to flood insurance. The City also participates in the Community Rating System, which provides flood insurance premium discounts based on public information activities.
