The City of Simi Valley is currently accepting applications for a community at-large representative to serve on the Community Projects Grant (CPG) Review Committee. The Review Committee will review funding requests for Fiscal Year 2026-27 from local 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations for projects and programs serving the community and make recommendations to the City Council for funding awards.
Applications will be accepted through February 16, 2026 for one community at-large representative. Applicants will be interviewed by a committee of two City Council Members who will recommend nominees to the City Council for appointment. Applicants must be Simi Valley residents and have no conflicts of interest, past or current, with any of the organizations who applied for funding. A list of the organizations who applied for funding is included in the Review Committee application.
The Review Committee consists of one representative from each of the four Neighborhood Councils, one representative from the Council on Aging, one representative from the Youth Council, and one representative from the community. Review Committee meetings have been tentatively scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on April 15, 2026 and April 22, 2026. This timeline will allow the Review Committee to thoughtfully review funding requests prior to presenting recommendations to the City Council in May 2026.
Submit an application online. The deadline to submit applications is February 16, 2026. For further information about the CPG program, visit the CPG website or contact Cynthia McCullough at (805) 583-6759.
