The Simi Valley City Council is accepting nominations for the 2026 Community Volunteer of the Year for extraordinary service to the community.  The City Council is proud of the thousands of volunteers who give selflessly for the betterment of our City and would like to recognize one individual who represents this spirit of volunteerism as the 2026 Community Volunteer of the Year.

Eligible nominees for the 2026 Community Volunteer of the Year must be Simi Valley residents who have contributed volunteer service within Simi Valley over the past year.  Nominations are being accepted from the community at large as well as non-profit and community organizations. 

All eligible nominations will be reviewed by a committee comprised of the 2025 Community Volunteer of the Year, along with other volunteers.  The committee’s recommendation will then be forwarded to the City Council for recognition.  Nomination forms can be completed online at www.simivalley.org/volunteering.  Forms must be submitted by Sunday, March 1, 2026, to be considered.
