Fixed Route Service
SVT’s fixed-route service provides connections with Los Angeles County’s METRO in the San Fernando Valley community of Chatsworth. Transportation to communities within Ventura County is made possible through connections with the Ventura County VISTA-EAST at the Simi Valley Town Center Mall. Trip planning assistance within Ventura County or Los Angeles County is available for your convenience. For traffic, public transit and other commuter information in Southern California, please call 511 or visit Go511.com.
The Adult/Student fare on any City bus is $1.25. Senior/Disabled individuals pay $0.50 per trip. Exact cash fare may be paid on board the bus, or books of 42 tear-off tickets may be purchased at Guest Services at the Simi Valley Town Center Mall, Junior and Senior High Schools, or at City Hall.
Americans with Disabilities Act/Dial-A-Ride Service
Americans with Disabilities Act/Dial-A-Ride Paratransit services (ADA/DAR) are provided within Simi Valley on a "curb to curb" basis to individuals with special needs and to seniors aged 60 and over. However, ADA-certified passengers traveling to other parts of Ventura County may connect with Thousand Oaks or Moorpark Transit's ADA services in the Simi Valley community of Wood Ranch or at the Simi Valley Town Center Mall. ADA-certified passengers may also access paratransit services to destinations within a 3/4 mile corridor along Simi Valley Transit's Route C in the western San Fernando Valley community of Chatsworth. This service also connects with Los Angeles County's ADA transportation service at the Chatsworth Metrolink station. Eligibility requirements for ADA/DAR service fall into two categories. Disabled individuals, of any age, must be certified as meeting ADA eligibility requirements. Individuals seeking ADA certification may call ADA Paratransit Certification Service of Ventura County at (888) 667-7001. Individuals aged 60 and over qualify for DAR transportation as seniors. To apply for Dial-A-Ride transportation, please complete a Dial-A-Ride Application.
Exact fare is required on Simi Valley Transit's ADA/DAR Paratransit service. ADA-certified passengers must pay a required fare of $1.50 for each one-way trip. Non ADA-certified passengers may make a suggested donation of $1.50 for each one-way trip. For more information on ADA/DAR service criteria, please refer to the Senior and Disabled Transportation Services brochure.
