The Operations Division is comprised of two units: Patrol and Dispatch

Patrol is the most visible service of the Police Department.  Patrol personnel maintain 24 hours per day, seven days per week law enforcement coverage.  The patrol operation also includes the Canine Program, Field Training Program and the Reserve Officer Program.

The Dispatch Unit is a technical, specialized support function within the Police Department.  Dispatch personnel handle 911 communications, take complaints, operate several alarm systems, monitor and communicate with all police units in the field and act as the clearing house for various types of information for the public.
