ADA Accommodations

The Department of Environmental Services is responsible for coordinating the City's  development functions.  Through its three Divisions of Planning, Housing & Special Projects, and Building & Safety, the Department facilitates the planning and construction of high-quality residential, commercial, and industrial development in accord with the community's desire for managed growth, varied housing choices, and economic vitality, all within a safe living and working environment.

In addition to the above, each of the Divisions also maintains various project case files, address records, parcel databases, plans, maps, and other materials which track permits issued, dwelling units completed, houses rehabilitated, commercial space constructed, territory annexed, and so on.  This documentation will be combined with roadway, utility, and other data for incorporation into a Citywide Geographic Information System scheduled for implementation in 2001.  The information will be used in ongoing planning efforts and will be publicly accessible.
