The Administrative Division is comprised of four units:
The Fiscal Services Unit provides budget, financial, word processing, permit processing, and alarm ordinance coordination services to the Department. The Records Unit of the Police Department provides mandatory custody, coordination and control of official reports and records generated by the Police Department.
The Crime Analysis Unit
is the ``hub" of the data entry process and is responsible for entering all police report data and ensuring that entries are made accurately and in a timely manner. Data is then analyzed and various crime analysis procedures are implemented. The unit actively researches and flags special circumstances related to criminal activity, such as gang and hate crimes, crimes of abuse, officers assaulted, violent crimes against senior citizens, and domestic violence.
The Maintenance Unit coordinates regular upkeep and service of the police facility, fleet and departmental equipment. In addition, the Administrative Division
is responsible for computer research, development and coordination, clerical oversight as well as acting as the Department's liaison to other City Departments. For further information regarding specialized
