The City of Simi Valley would like to announce that Mayor Bob Huber has been selected to serve as the Chair of the Ventura Council of Governments for a second time. Mayor Huber first served as Chair in 2013.
When asked about returning to this leadership role, Mayor Huber stated, “I am honored to have been selected to serve as Chair by my esteemed colleagues from across the County. VCOG is a valuable resource to the cities in the County, and to the County itself, where we are able to discuss issues that are affecting our individual communities and share best practices.”
The Ventura Council of Governments (VCOG) is a voluntary joint powers authority where the Mayors of the ten cities and one member of the Ventura County Board of Supervisors facilitates cooperative regional planning, coordination and assistance on issues of mutual concern.
VCOG meetings are held on the second Thursday of every other month at 5:00 p.m. at Camarillo City Hall.
