Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts
Contact: Eric Levitt
The impact of Hurricane Harvey on the City of Houston and surrounding communities has been catastrophic. The hurricane has produced record rainfall and historic flooding throughout the region, as well as the tragic loss of life. The effects of the storm will be long lasting and our fellow citizens in Texas will need all the assistance they can get for long-term recovery efforts.
The City of Simi Valley urges its residents and businesses to provide assistance to those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Mayor Huber stated, “I have been stunned and saddened by the events unfolding in Texas. It is times like this that we need to come together to aid our fellow Americans to help them recover from this natural disaster. I call upon our community to provide whatever assistance they can to aid those affected by Hurricane Harvey.”
The City encourages those who are interested in helping to visit www.fema.gov/volunteer-donate-responsibly to find out more information on how they can provide much needed assistance.
