The Simi Valley Youth Employment Service (YES) invites youth ages 13 to 16 to participate in an “Entering the Workforce Workshop” on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., at the Simi Valley Public Library.

The “Entering the Workforce Workshop” focuses on employment law, employment options for young teens, workplace ethics and safety, and job readiness. Participants will also have the opportunity to speak with local teen entrepreneurs. The workshop and handout materials are provided free of charge. Space for this session is limited and will be provided on a first-reserved, first-served basis. Walk-ins also welcome. To reserve a free space or for more information, call (805) 522-HIRE (4473).

The YES program is provided at no cost to the youth of Simi Valley and offers a wide variety of services. Youth, ages 15-22, can schedule appointments for coaching on the application process, interview skills, professionalism in the workplace, as well as job referrals. To schedule an appointment or for more information, call Kristin Tignac, YES Coordinator, at (805) 522-HIRE (4473).
